I've been to this place three times and I can say that they are very honest and helpful, their pricing is honest, their honesty helps save you money. My car broke down on me a few months ago, and they stood open a little longer for me to be able to have the tow truck bring the car and I was surprised that the owner drove me home.Just recently I had new tires put on and needed a new bearing on the front driver side, and they were able to do it the same day, in less than two hours.They are the best!

I've been using General Muffler and Supply for parts and service for 30+ years now. They continue to be the only auto service company that I would rate as fair and honest. The're not necessarily the cheapest guys around, but they never take advantage of their customers or attempt up-selling like most all their competitors. I recently brought in my 2009 Hyundai for an A/C recharge and since they believed the compressor had a leak (which they do not service), they referred me to the dealer and waived the diagnostic charges. Real stand-up guys that I would recommend to anyone looking for an honest mechanic.Also, if you're looking for a quick CT vehicle emission test, General Muffler and auto supplies your place! 20 bucks and less than 30 minutes every time I've used them which included yesterday August 17th 2023.

Have been there twice in the past month. Front desk was great and both times they got me in right away to fix my jeep. 1 st time was a muffler issue which they fixed quickly, second was a plug for my tire that had a screw in it, also fixed super fast. They explain everything very thoroughly. This will be my new go to spot for anymore issues.

I usually come here for my emissions and then a friend recommended them for an oil change. Very professional and friendly staff. I would've given it 5 stars but when I went outside to make a phone call, I noticed my keys hanging from the driver's side door on side of the building waiting for the oil change. That made me a little uneasy and upset because of how easily cars are being stolen lately. Is this a normal procedure for when cars are waiting?
